July 28^th

We woke up at 530am and headed for the ottawa ctv studio. At 6:52 am we had our live 3 minute interview which went very well. Karen the host was very nice and guided us along easily. Thanks karen. We then went for a walking tour of downtown ottawa which was wonderful to see. Pictured here is brian and I in front of the parliament buildings. We then drove back to odessa, a small town just west of kingston to continue our biking trek across the country. We started biking east around 10:30am towards cornwall, ontario. We made a pitstop at brian’s friends’ house in brockville. We met jay and mark who have a spectacular house on the water in the thousand island area. We quickly jumped into their pool to cool off with our biking shorts. We saw two osprey circling above looking for fish which was cool. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay for dinner so she just gave us a snack to go. Jay and Mark are two of the friendliest people you’d ever want to meet, thanks for your hospitality. Well you guessed it, we got rain again. A thunder and lighting storm with torrential rains stopped our ride at prescott, about 70km from cornwall. I was so tired I fell asleep after dinner and we called it an early night around 10:30.
