Aug 3rd
This morning I woke up and felt I had been run over a few times by a steam roller, I had no energy and think a picked up a virus somewhere, dry heaves all day and I couldn’t eat any thing until dinner time. I don’t know how I got up enough energy to start biking. I literally rolled out of bed and started biking towards fredericton, nb around 11:30. I had no juice, the gas tank was empty. It rained all day, with some torrential showers and lightning. We met Aaron again, the biker from nfl, we gave him a cyclespine biking shirt this time. We all liked him and hope he will bike the newfoundland part of spineride next year. We stopped after 160 km in hartland, nb about 120 km from fredericton at 8pm. Everything is wet, we couldn’t find a laundry mat in edmundston. I am literally sick of all this rain. It is supposed to rain for 2 more days!!!! We had steak and shrimp followed with ice cream and canned peaches for dessert. I hope my stomach holds out, I am off the bed now at 10pm. Tomorrow if I feel better we’ll try and start early. pictured is the st lawrence river in the town of kamouraska in quebec yesterday.
