today we left revelstoke at 830am for rogers pass which was not very challenging but scenic.  everywhere you look are snow covered mountains, water falls, trees, railroad tracks and the occasional trains.  we have seen a bear, two moose, two or three dear and a few eagles so far.  we met reg and the rv at rogers pass where it started to rain again and lightning a little, brian went in the rv to wait it out, i left for golden because i thought the sky looked better in that direction.  it rained all the way but i made great time.  brian was close behind and also made great time.  the cold rain was a blessing for our sore legs.  we cooked up steaks and rice for dinner in the rv.  golden is a bit small but great scenery again.  my arms reacted to the spray on sunscreen and are covered in small red very itchy bumps for the last two days.  brian takes great interest in dumping the grey and black water out of the rv at the dumping stations.  he won't let any one touch the hose.  reg is being a great referee for our differences/disagreements.  tomorrow we go over kicking horse pass to banff.  hopefully it does not rain again.
