last night we stayed at truck stop[ in virden just west of brandon.  there was a great tail wind and brian and i biked about 280 km at 34.5 kph average.  unfortunately the highways in manitoba are horrible.  there are many places with no shoulder on the road at all, and the road quality is very poor, rough and broken.  not good for the neck or back!!  reg had to stay about 100-200 ft behind us with the rv which now has flashing tail lights and a large sign reading " be prepared to stop " in the rear window.  we hope to ride close to winnipeg tomorrow which is about 240km away.  pictured is a typical meal of champions, oreo and chocolate chip cookies, thank you Mr. Christie!!!

Glad to hear you have been allowed to cycle in Manitoba on the highway - anyway you guys are going as fast as some of the farm equipment that is out there from time to time - keep up the great work
